Beautiful home office decor design inspiration

There are definitely pro’s and con’s to working for yourself but one thing we find in particular is having major home office decor envy! We recently decided to gather up some of our favourite chic home office design inspirations and brainstorm what makes for the best home office spaces.

However we quickly realised that one size definitely does not fit all. We don”t all have chic city apartments with big windows, ultra modern new builds or homes with perfect and generous proportions. There is also no doubt that having a nice working space will help with productivity.

Sometimes the perfect home office decor is just about using what you have and making something lovely with the space that you have.

Here’s a roundup of our favourite home office decor ideas and inspirations!

Why not bring the outside in. Consider using plants and greenery along with beautiful wood furniture to give your working space a natural vibe. We love the fairy light addition to the rustic wooden planter which has been done really subtly in this work space.

What if I don’t have much space in my home? we hear you ask! How about utilising a corner of your bedroom? We think that it’s best to keep your desk clutter free and tidy to keep your bedroom as much of a relaxing space as possible.

We love the idea of setting up a desk in front of the window, but be careful not to clutter your bedroom with too much furniture!

Sometimes just keeping it simple and functional is just as good. No clutter, a simple lamp and no distractions. This space is a great idea if you don’t have space for a dedicated home office. This desk set up would be good if all you can spare is a small part of your living room! We are totally crushing on the lime green vintage style chair!

We love this space, so full of inspiration! Some may find it a little cluttered, but different strokes for different folks we say!

If you’re the sort of person who needs inspiration all around you, then go with it. However, be careful to keep your space inspiring rather than untidy. There’s nothing worse than losing your laptop under piles of books and magazines!

Possibly one of our most important criteria for a home office and desk space is light. A desk in front of a window Is always a good idea and this is such a simple but effective set up. We might suggest turning the seating arrangement to the other side to avoid screen glare.

So there you have it, a round up of some our favourite inspiration ideas for some super stylish home decor. Which is your favourite from these inspiration pictures?

And whilst you are busy dreaming about your ultimate home office space, you should definitely check out what Dungarees & Donuts did with her home office…it is kind of dreamy! We are loving the fairy light decorations!
