5 Tips to lead a healthier and happier lifestyle

If 2020 has taught us anything, it’s that we perhaps don’t put enough effort into making sure we are living the best life we can.

So many people suddenly found themselves with a lot more time on their hands and it was sink or swim. It was time to finally get fit and healthy, OR time to wallow in self despair. Don’t beat yourself up if it was the latter, you aren’t alone.

So we decided to put together our top 5 thing you can do right now to live a better and healthier life TODAY!

1. Do things you love

Perhaps this is self explanatory, but how often do we just take time out to do something we Truly enjoy. Life can be so easily taken up with every day responsibilities…cooking…laundry….cleaning. Even if you can find just 10 minutes a day to pick up a paint brush (or whatever floats your boat) it’ll just fill your heart with a bit more joy.

2. Get yourself a positive mindset

2020 has made this such a hard task! It can be hard sometimes to see the positive in a really negative situation. But negativity can be a dangerous downwards spiral. We’ve all been there, trust us. But seize the day and take one step at a time to embrace the things you can do, and not those that you can’t.

3. Tell yourself you are enough. Every day

You are enough. You just are. This requires absolutely no further explanation is needed.

4. Be more mindful about your diet

We aren’t going to tell you to give up meat, or become a vegan or take up any fad new way of eating. But just being mindful of the food you eat is a good place to start. Balance is a good focus And rule of thumb. Eat more fruit and veggies….in fact, eat the rainbow of colours and you’ll feel better for it. 5. Get up and move more

Even if you can’t fit full on work outs to your day or visits to the gym, just moving more will help. It’s hard if you have a desk job and feel chained your computer and phone;, but go for a walk at lunch time and stretch and move as much as you can.

Even better – why not consider taking up yoga? It might seem intimidating to learn something new, but it’s ok to start as a beginner and learn from there! We highly recommend you check out this post we love 12 Things I Wish I Knew as an Absolute Beginner in Yoga by
